How to send email from google home

I want to send an email using a voice command from google home . For eg. I say 'Hey Google, Add a task buy gift' and I want to send an email to an email id with email body ' buy gift'.

I searched everywhere on the web for this but what I find no longer matches with what I find on the google home app or IFTTT. Most of the pages that suggest IFTTT point to Google Assistant and this is no longer available on IFTTT app but I find 'Google Assistant V2' Some of the pages suggest using Routines on Google Home but there is no Routine to send email on Google Home app. anyway to get this done?

Assistant features
Open the Google Home app .
Switch to the home you want to share.
At the top, tap Add Invite home member.
Enter the name or email address of the person you want to invite to your home.
Review what's shared when you add someone to your home.
Review the person's access to your home.

so you can send an email by adding a fake person to your home and puting in the email address you want to send the email to that fake account?

Chiming in, I can confirm that this feature is not available on the Google Home/Nest devices. The steps shared by the other user are not related to your concern. Those steps are for adding an additional person or account on the Google Home app. As an alternative, you can use the Assistant app on your phone by following the steps on this link.
