I am struggling with my agenda

Thijn
Community Member

Hi All.

I am almost very happy with my Google Nest Hub 2.

The only problem i am encounter is that i cant manage to see my Agenda.

My set-up:

* Iphone 13Pro - with a google agenda (sync with my iphone calander) So my appoinments in my iphone automaticly sync with my google agenda.

On my Nest hub2 i am logged in with my G-mail account (Head account)

In prefernces i can see i am logged in, with the correct gmail, and i can see my account is active (light grey - cant change it) there is also an agenda Family i can set on/off.

I followed every step i could find to manage to get my agenda on the hub. but still no success.

Is there anyone who can help me step by step? who also experienced the simular problem?

Thx

Hey Thijn,

Welcome to the Google Nest Community Forum.

Apologize for the late response. Shared calendar events from iCalendar are not supported on the Google Nest Hub (2nd gen). We're always looking for ways to improve, and we'll take this as feedback and pass it along to the team. I also suggest that you send feedback using your devices by saying, "Hey Google, send feedback" or by following the steps on this LINK.

Please visit this link to learn more about the calendar and events on the Google Home/Nest speakers and displays.

Cheers,

Muddi

Hey Muddi,

Sorry for my late message

I am only delving into the sync function with apple (ios) and google.

I don't know how I managed it, but it seems to be working now.

Although I do have 2 calendars on my phone now, the standard apple calendar and the google calendar app.

But they seem to sync. I must confess that I have not continued with it due to lack of time.

In addition, I wondered

Whether I can have music played via the Denon home cinema receiver / speakers, and not via the Google nest speaker.

My Denon AVR X2500H, has built-in Heos, and I have Heos speakers throughout my house.

My google nest is in a location (living room). But when I say “hey google, play skyradio” I want him to do this via the denon speakers. And not through the speaker of the nest.

Can that be set??

The speech, weather forecast etc. can all go through the nest, but I want the music through the speakers of the Denon.

I would love to hear from you.

Greetings Martin

Hey Thijn,

Sorry for the delays. I'm happy to know that the issue on the calendar has been fixed. Possible that your default calendar was set as default on your phone and all the events are syncing on the speaker. For Denon, if  your speaker has built-in Heos, you can control and play music via voice command using your Google Nest Hub 2. For more information, please visit this link.

Here's the steps on how to link Heos account:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. At the top left, tap Add (plus sign) > Set up device > Works with Google.
  3. Select the manufacturer of the device from the list.
  4. Follow the in-app steps to complete linking.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Muddi
