I cannot for the life of me get a second voice match setup for nest hub gen 2

Title is the issue.

 

I have invited the person to the family group in two ways. One being their unused Gmail account and the other with their frequently used iCloud account (which won't work anyways). They only receive the invite on their iCloud email, but never receive it on their Gmail account (or I just don't know where to look).

 

My manager account shows that the Gmail account is a member and has accepted the invite. Even though I have never accepted the invite or even seen it.

 

I go on the person I'm adding's phone and go to set up voice match, select the nest hub gen 2, and accept the few options, and then it says cannot add because you are not a member of the family group.

 

I as the manager see they are a member. They are logged into the account that is seen as a member to me, the manager.

 

Where is my issue?

 

Also, quick feedback. This is the most frustratingly stupid setup I've ever seen on a google device. Why on earth does an apple user need two different apps to setup a Nest Hub.

Hey DuHasst,

 

Thanks for sharing details about the issue here. I know how challenging it is when you're having issues adding a home member on the Google Home app. Let's try to get to the bottom of this. A few questions: how many accounts are linked on your Google Nest Hub? What type of account are you adding (Personal or Business)? Have you checked the spam messages for the email invite?

 

Please note that the Google Assistant is not the default and built-in voice assistants on iOS devices. That's the reason why you need to download it separately aside from the Google Home app.
