Incoming phone call alert

Gr4ndp4

Hi, I’m seeking advice on making my Google home speaker (an original flower pot shape) sound an alert when my mobile phone rings indicating an incoming call while I’m home. I have a Pixel 6 Pro on Android 13.

I’ve spent some time reading, asking Google Assistant & looking for an app but have not been able to make any progress.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers

Hi Gr4ndp4,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community.

Good question, we currently don’t have that feature. We're always looking for ways to improve. I'd suggest you submit feedback about it, here's how

You can use your number and create a Duo account and link it to your Google Home app so you can receive phone calls using your Google speaker instead. Check the steps below for guidance.

Set up Google Duo:

  1. Step 1: Install Duo. Duo is available on Android phones and tablets. ...
  2. Step 2: Verify your phone number. You can skip phone number verification. ...
  3. Step 3: Connect your Google Account. To connect your Google Account, tap Agree. ...
  4. After you verify your number on Duo. ...
  5. Use Duo to call your contacts.

Link Duo to Google Home.

  1. On your mobile device, open the Google Home app .
  2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. At the top right, tap Settings and then Voice calls.
  4. Follow the in-app instructions for set up.

I hope this helps

Regards,

Juni
