I find it very tedious as it is at the moment.
I would like to customise the "tiles"/"windows" and remove the suggestions, and add controls for my lights, thermostat etc from the main page... I thought this was the whole purpose of the nest hub, making these controls much easier.
But at the moment, to modify the intensity of a light for instance, I have to swipe left twice, select "lights", scroll through all the lights, find the one I need, open it, and then I can finally use the slide to modify the intensity.
I find this workflow extremely inefficient and I end up doing it from my phone hue app most of the time. I would like to have directly the sliders of lights that are on directly from the home page and be able to customise which buttons are there. At the moment I find this device completely useless (I already had a google home speaker, so this one doesn't add anything), and it's mainly a software problem.
I think an interface like the smart home menu on Android 11 and some customisation options would really be convenient.
I see on images online that this interface is actually possible, but my hub has never showed me a tile like that (the light one)
Any idea on how to enable it? Or how to create custom "tiles" and pin them? Maybe even adapt different pins containing controls and routines depending on different situations (for instance certain lights scenes if playing netflix during evening) or just different tiles depending on the hour.
I just can't believe that if I can come up with these ideas after 3 days of use there is no developer in Google who can come up with these or even better too. Feels like they don't use their own products or something...

This is exactly the reason I bought it to.. very disappointed. I don’t get why they have these generated suggestions that change every time you interact with it.

I’m disappointed in this too. I don’t want meditation suggestions in the morning but I would like to see the weather and my calendar! That’s three swipes to the right while dismissing suggested tiles I’ve previously dismissed. I bought this because I read the Echo Show was worse! They really can, and should, do better than this.
