My TV cannot work with Google Home directly, so I bought a smart IR bridge, learns it with TV controls and pairing with Google Home app. Everything works great, except the volume control. When I say the command "TV volume up" or "TV volume down", the volume changes 10 degrees up or down. In practice, this means either a big roar or complete silence of TV sound. The same thing happens if I press the control button of TV volume in the Google Home app (once and short press). In IR bridge app (Smart Life by Tuya) the same command (press button) works correctly (just one degree up or down).
I want the volume to move only one degree up or down by voice command or pressing button. Can it be set?

After a long search of my own, I finally found a solution to my problem. So for others with the same problem: Voice command for "step-by-step" volume control - "Hey Google, TV volume up/down by x" (where x is the number of steps you want change the volume up or down). Controling via pressing the button on Google Home app is unfortunately still fixed by 10 steps up or down.

Hi, MikeClark.
I'm very sorry, but as I wrote - I don' t have Chromecast, I don' t have Google TV. This is a smart IR bridge by Tuya, learned and paired with Google Home. Therefore is not possible to use your advice.
Thank you for your time and with best regards. Marek

Hi everyone,
Thanks for posting.
@MikeClark, thanks for helping us out answer this thread.
@Marrier, I understand that you want to control your TV using your Google Nest speakers. However, there are limited devices that can only be connected to Google Nest speakers such as Chromecast devices and Chromacast enabled TVs. If you want to know more about it, you may click this link: https://goo.gle/2K6gHrm

Hi princess.
No, the answer from MikeClark didn't help me. I don't have Chromecast device, I have smart IR blaster, learned with original control and paired with Google Home (via Tuya Smart Life). I still have problem with volume control. The volume goes up or down by 10 degrees, why? I want just one degree. All other functions works fine (change the channels, TV on and off etc).

Hi Marrier,
Thanks for clarifying and providing additional info. Since other functions works fine, have you already tried to ask your Google Assistant from your phone to cotrol the volume to see if you will get the same results?

Princess

This wasn't clyrifying and additional info, all information is in the initial post. Why does the volume go up or down by 10 degrees? Why not by 1 degree? Is the same in Google Home app, by clicking on button on remote control (in Google Home app). In original app (Smart Life by Tuya) volume works fine. Just Google shifts the volume by 10 degrees up or down. And I ask again why?
