Issues with Device Group. Music dont play on all Devices in the Group

I have issues with the google Device Groups. I have created a New Audio Device Group named "Music". in this group there are 3 Speakers (2x SRS-XB501G and 1x SRS-XB402G) If i now want to cast music from Spotify to this device group both SRS-XB501G are connecting and playing the music, exepct SRS-XB402G. There is a workaround to let the speaker join, by opening Google Home on my android device, click on the active Stream that is shown imedatly (Where you can pause, play, next track etc.) click on the Device Group "Music" at the bottom. And click on "Music" at the top, where all device groups are shown. after that the SRS-XB402G also connects to the stream and plays the music. All Devices have the latest Cast-Firmware 1.56.310669. its quite anoying to do those extra steps if i want to hear my music. interesstingly i never had this issue with the Device groups. before couple months i never had this issues. if needed i can also provide screenshots for better understanding!

Hello brauser,

Thank you for visiting the Community, and I apologize for the delayed response.

Please be aware that our support for third-party speakers with built-in Google Assistant, such as Sony, is limited. However, you can try moving the SRS-XB402G speaker closer to your router to improve the network signal it receives.

If the issue persists after trying the above steps, I recommend contacting Sony support for further assistance. They will be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps specific to your Sony speaker model.

Cheers,

Muddi

So, i figured out that i have to remove all speakers from my Group named "Music" except  SRS-XB402G. Then i have to start the music over Spotify to that group, afterwards have to add the other two speakers SRS-XB501G then works without any problem, i can also control properly the volume. (The global volume, including the volume of each speaker seperatly) if i stop the streaming, and want to play music directly to the group again (all 3 speaker are allready inside the group) the  SRS-XB402G is not playing at all. The other 2 Speaker SRS-XB501G playing Music. There is also a weird behavior if i start the Group "music" over Google Home Steaming, (like clicking on my Phone on the Group "Music" at the top) it connects the not working SRS-XB402G speaker, but the volume management is totally screwd. if i want to raise the total volume with this (play all devices method), it only controls the volume of one of the SRS-XB501G speaker. Each speaker works with streaming from spotify over google home without any issues, only the Group functionallity is not working properly since a couple months. (due to software changes? I dont know, but i think so).

It now gets now even more wild, I found out that if i have one of my Sony speaker (SRS-ZR5 Speaker with integrated Chromecast) (atleast one - i have two of them) the group works all the time without issues.  i can stop the streaming, reconnect it and it plays music on all 4 Speakers and volume control works also without any issues. but the combination SRS-XB402G + 2x SRS-XB501G in a Group, the SRS-XB402G wont play music without any workarounds. I really think this is a software issue.

Hey brauser,

We appreciate you sharing all that information. Have you tried reaching out to Sony to check why the SRS-XB402G is not working when in a group?

Cheers,
