Issues with Voice Match and Personal Results- some devices missing from list

Hi folks, been working on this for a while and I'm stumped. My daughter has a Mini in her room that stopped accepting her voice commands. It no longer shows in "Voice Match at _OurHomeName_" list as available to recognize her voice, and the "Personal Results" slider is greyed out under recognition and sharing. Device shows up fine in my app, and I can check/uncheck Voice Match as normal. Her Google account name *is* listed under linked accounts, and the device shows up in the Home app just fine- just no recognition or personal results. Once I started troubleshooting, I realized there were several other devices in the home with the same issue, including an Insignia-branded assistant device.

Have tried:

  • Device has been factory reset multiple times
  • Tried using *her* phone to re-add to Home after reset
  • Reinstalled Home/Assistant Apps on her phone
  • Pulled out an old android phone and tried using the android version of the apps
  • Removing Voice Match and Personal Results from all devices and re-adding (still doesn't show in list, so can't add)
  • "Activate Voice Match" banner is at top of device settings, but also yields a list without that device on it
  • Bought a *brand new* Lenovo smart clock Gen2, installed using her account, also doesn't show up in list, but shows up in the Home app just fine. Can't enable VM or PR.

I think that's it, let me know if you need more info, happy to try whatever!

Hi. I read your issue with interest. I'm afraid I don't have an answer, but I can say that we are experiencing the exact same thing. We have just added a new smart speaker to our home set up and both my wife and I can add it, but on my son's phone it doesn't show in the list of devices. Were you able to resolve the problem?

I haven't- I tried posting over on Reddit, but you can't actually post until you've milled around a bit and convinced the system you're not a bot. If I discover anything, I'll post it here!
