Keeps connecting to my google display

Everytime im playing music on my mini and then I ask it to change music, it keeps playing on my display

Check your speaker's settings > Audio > Default music speaker. Select the Mini you're using.

Or

Reboot speaker 

Or

Otherwise it could be a bug.

Thanks for posting in the community! I understand that when you're playing music on your speaker and give it a voice command to change the song, the music is redirected to your Google Nest Display instead of staying on the speaker device. I can definitely help you with this!

To better assist you, I'd like to ask for some more information:

  • Have you already tried the steps provided by @SmartHomeH-TAGS? If so, did the issue persist?
  • Could you confirm if you have the Google Nest Mini or Google Home Mini? Here’s a helpful article about how to identify the model of your device.
  • Are your speaker and display currently in a speaker group?
  • Does this happen with every single voice command to change the song, or only some of them?
  • When you give a voice command, how close are you to each device? This helps determine if one speaker is simply picking up the command better than the other.
