LG soundbar cannot communicate with Google Home

I am having exactly the same issue as the person in this thread: https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Speakers-and-Displays/Google-home-and-LG-Soundbar/m-p/30839

I am hearing the beep sound then asks me to confirm the wifi and then I get a popup "cannot communicate with LG SN Series ThinQ Soundbar"
