Losing Connection with the google home app

My google nest mini (2nd Gen) keeps on asking me daily to "log in to the google home app". After the setup everything was working smoothly but it seems that everyday it keeps on asking me to log in to the app again. I've tried a factory reset, clearing the cache, reinstalling the app, and even a simple reboot (unplug the device for 1 minute then plug it back in) but the problem keeps on occurring. Would it be possible that I purchased a faulty device?
