Minis keep trying to stop devices when I tell them to broadcast a message

We have a couple minis a home and a display. We also hooked up 3x Rokus.
For some reason, around 50% of the time when asking Google to broadcast a message, it instead says "There are several devices I can stop..." then lists the Roku devices. About 70% of the times this happens, I can tell it to stop, then repeat my instruction, and it will comply. The remained of the time it is stuck on trying to stop devices.
This is most frustrating (which, when I told it that, it thanked me....). How does "Broadcast" get interpreted as "Stop" to begin with, and why won't it work correctly 100% (or at least 90%) of the time?

Hello Mishawnuodo,

Thanks for visiting the Community.

I know how it feels when you're having issues broadcasting messages using your Google Nest Minis. Let's dig deeper into this. A few questions: when did the issue start? How far are your Nest Minis from your router? Also, what are the troubleshooting steps that you've done?

Let's try these steps below:

  1. Move your Google Nest devices within 15-20 ft. away from the router to get enough signal from your network.
  2. Reboot your Google Nest devices and router by disconnecting them from the power source and leave them unplugged for 1 minute. Once done, plug them back one at a time with intervals.
  3. Try to broadcast, and if you experience the same issue, check the "Activity" section in the Google Home app to confirm whether your device is correctly understanding your command.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers,

Muddi
