Morning routine won't cancel

Every day my Google hub does a wake up announcement detailing diary entries, weather and news headlines. It is not set up on the Home app routines and I cannot find a way to cancel it. No commands have made a difference so far. Happy to take any advise!

Hi Snash37,

Thanks for posting—let's get this sorted out. Do you have home members in the Google Home app? To check, open the Google Home app and go to Settings. Under your home name are the profile icons of home members. If you have home members, check on their Google Home app to see if they are the ones who set that scheduled routine.

Regards,
Alex

Hi Alex

Thanks for replying. Yes there are two of us on the account but neither have any routines scheduled.

Hi there,

I see. Let’s check if this could be a Family bell. Open the Google Home app > Settings > Google Assistant > Manage all Assistant settings > Family Bell. If it’s still not there, we may need to delete routines that were saved to both your accounts.

  • Go to https://goo.gle/2UXBOSt.
  • From the options menu, on the left side, select Other activity.
  • Scroll to the bottom and look for Google Assistant Routines > Tap the delete button.
  • Reboot your Google Home and then monitor its behavior.

Best,
Alex
