My parrot turns up volume

StarlingGirl

My African Grey parrot has learned how to use "hey google".   He can turn it on, off, adjust volume.   Lol.  Is there anyway to set a maximum volume.   At times I come home and it's at top volume.   Too loud for even him.  Thanks for your thoughts.

Hello StarlingGirl,

Thanks for posting here in the Community.

I highly suggest you turn your Google Home on mute whenever you don't want anyone or any parrot, for that matter, to use it. You can play music before muting your speaker. Check here for instructions on how to use the physical controls of your device.

Let me know if this helps.

No, it won't help because we play music to entertain him when we aren't home.  So muting isn't an option.   I was hoping for a max volume control.  If that's not an option,  I guess I can use a radio rather than the devisewhen in not home.  Maybe volume control can become a future feature.  Thank you

Hey StarlingGirl,

Even when you max out the volume when playing, the music or radio might lower down during the intro or outro, so the Google Home might still hear your parrot once it gives commands. Whereas when you mute your device, it will turn off the microphone, preventing others from giving commands, but it can still play music or radio.

Thanks,
Lovely

Hi StarlingGirl,

Have you tried the steps suggested above? Let me know if that did the trick or not, so we can try something else.
