NRP Up First not updating to current date since Wednesday, June 5th, 2024

For some days, the devices just wouldn't advance beyond the Wednesday. Not it just says there is no new content. Everything else plays as current just fine.

(I'm not sure Android as the platform is necessary helpful in the filtering choices, but the interface requires I choose something).

Hi @bkengland,

First I would like to thank you for posting in our community page, on the other hand I apologize for the inconvenience that you are having. Let me tell you some troubleshooting steps that you can try to fix the problem.

  1. Force Close and Reopen App: Close the Google Home app completely and reopen it. This can sometimes resolve temporary glitches.
  2. Restart Google Home Mini Speakers: Unplug both speakers from the power source for a minute, then plug them back in and wait for them to reboot.
  3. Specify Station/Podcast: Instead of just saying "Play NPR," try specifying the exact station or podcast you want to hear. For example, "Play NPR News Now" or "Play the latest episode of [NPR Podcast Name]."
  4. Unlink and Relink Account: Unlink your NPR account from the Google Home app and then relink it. This can refresh the connection and authorization.
  5. Check Network Connectivity: Ensure both your Google H

If for some reason you still have the same issue after trying the troubleshooting steps don't hesitate to let us know

Regards,

Mario.

Oops, I meant to say NPR, not NRP. Hope that was obvious anyway. Note that the program does update on Alexa devices.

  1. What speaker or display do you have? Both Google Home Mini speaker devices
  2. Can you please provide the software version of your device? System firmware 375114, Cast firmware 2.57.375114
  3. Are you using the latest version of the Google Home app? Just updated, but no idea what the version is.
  4. What is the model and make of your phone? Not using a phone. iPad iPadOS 17.4.1 921E236
  5. Which troubleshooting steps have you tried? I've tried saying "Play next episode" and "Play latest episode. No difference.

It's working now! But I have no idea if any of my fixes had anything to do with it or which one if so.

Anyway; thanks!
