Nest Audio not powering ON

Arkadix
Community Member

Hi all.

I have two nest audios set up as a pair. Today for no reason at one has stopped working completely.

I have unplugged it etc however there is no response, no lights coming , nothing.

The other speaker in the pair works fine.

Just hoping someone has tips on what to do.

Thanks

David

Hi everyone,

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear about the situation that you are experiencing with the Nest Audio device that is not powering on. I appreciate the information provided and the steps you tried to solve the situation. I understand how difficult it can be when things don't work as expected. But don't worry; help is here.

I need to ask for some information to provide the best solution.

  • Is the speaker or display plugged directly into a wall outlet or surge protector?
  • Is the official power adapter that came with the speaker used on the device?
  • Have you tried to use another wall outlet?
  • Was there any type of electrical outage around the time the issue began?

Please keep me posted.

Best regards,

Jenny

Hello, thanks for the reply.

The connection is directly to the wall outlet.

I am using the official power adapter that came with the device.

I have tried other outlets and it still does not work.

There has not been any recent electrical anomaly; the issue occurred a few days ago when it suddenly stopped working.

Hi Arkadix,

Thanks for your response. I appreciate the information provided. Please explore these steps to troubleshoot the Nest Audio device.

  1. Since you have a second speaker, please use the power adapter from the one that currently works.
  2. Discharge the Nest Audio device:
    1. Unplug the power adapter from the outlet and the speaker or display.
    2. Leave it unplugged for 20 seconds.
    3. Plug the power adapter into the speaker or display.
    4. Plug the other end of the power adapter into a working outlet
    5. Check if any LED lights would appear on the speaker or display.

Please keep me posted.

Regards,

Jenny

Hello!

I’ve tested the device using the power adapter from my other speaker, but it still doesn’t work.

I also left the speaker unplugged for 10 seconds, 20 seconds, and even an entire day, yet it still doesn’t power on. No LED lights appear at any point.

Regards

David

Hi everyone,

I tried all your suggestions Tajennifer, but none worked

I swapped the cables on both devices, and still one of them doesn't light up any LEDs
I tried a different outlet and it still doesn't work.
