Nest Audio not turning on

little_suz

It all started with the speaker displaying the lights to indicate it was doing an update. It never completed the update. Then the speaker wouldn’t turn on altogether. I’m not able to reset it because no display lights come on. I’ve tried using a different power cord and outlet. No difference. I purchased this speaker from Walmart 2 years ago, along with the protection plan. Which I just found out expired a month ago. How convenient. I tried to get assistance through them, but no such luck. I bought this Nest Audio as a pair and the other one works perfectly fine! Don’t know where to go from here.

Hi little_suz,

Thanks for reaching out. I understand your Nest Audio isn't turning on, and I know this can be frustrating. Don't worry, I'm here to help!

To better understand the situation, please answer the following questions:

  • Is the speaker plugged directly into a wall outlet or surge protector?
  • When plugged into the wall outlet, does the speaker show any LED lights indicating power?
  • Are other devices able to receive power from the same outlet?
  • Have you tried using a different wall outlet?
  • Is the official power adapter that came with the speaker being used?

I look forward to your response.

Regards,

Manuel

It is plugged directly into a wall outlet.

No, it does not show any LED lights.

Other devices are able to receive power from the same outlet.

I have tried using a different wall outlet.

Yes, the official power adapter that came with the speaker is being used.

Hi little_suz,

Thanks for your reply. Please follow these steps:

  1. Discharge the speaker: Unplug the power adapter from the outlet and the speaker or display.
  2. Leave it unplugged for 20 seconds.
  3. Plug the power adapter back into the speaker or display.
  4. Plug the other end of the power adapter into a working wall outlet.
  5. Check if any LED lights appear on the speaker or display.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue.

Regards,

Manuel

I tried your suggestion, and it hasn’t resolved the issue.
