Nest Audio totally unresponsive

Hi,

I bought a pair of Nest Audio speakers just over 2 years ago (!). One of them (XXXXXXXXXXXXXX) has now ceased to function. The touch controls are unresponsive, so I cannot do a factory reset (or anything else, for that matter).

The unit tries to boot up with the four blinking lights; after a while it just gives up and goes blank. After a few minutes, it tries again, ad infinitum.

The 2 units operated as a stereo pair for 2 years, attached to wall supports and the other unit still works. My network hasn't changed. I haven't dropped either of them. I have connected to unit to different power sockets.

Any ideas? I am just out of warranty, so this forum seems like my only option.
