I have gone through the complete setup for sleep sensing in the Google Home app. Next step is to calibrate.
The Google Nest however still show sleep sensing as inactive. It wants to send a link to my phone but no link ever arrives. I have rebooted the Nest but that made no difference.
Can you please advise.

Thanks - looks like an issue Google need to fix.
