I just received my new nest hub 2nd gen and it is unusable. It constantly crashes and restarts. It crashes about every 5 minutes or less (not exaggerating). It took a while to set up since it kept restarting during setup. I was hopeful for an update after setup, but it appears to keep crashing even after setup. This device is completely unusable and I cannot figure out if I got a lemon or if this device is just very poorly engineered.

Solution: I could not return it due to it being past the return window. I spend over 2 hours waiting in a repair/troubleshooting queue. I gave up after seeing I was still nowhere near the front of the queue after 2 hours. The item has since been sent to E-waste recycling where it belongs. I have learned my lesson to only buy Google products through a brick-and-mortar store that offers better customer service/return options.

Try the factory reset and go through the setup process again. If that doesn't work, return it to place of purchase.

I just bought one January 2nd 2022. Its doing exactly as you describe. What a piece of crap.
