chromecast TV on Nest speaker

I can't get the sound from my chromecast TV to play on my Google speaker (mini). Same account and WiFi of cause.

I can have the chromecast TV start playing by voice command, but that's not necessarily what I want. I tend to choose a program on my phone and start playing.

Hi EagleOne,

Google Home and Google Nest speakers and displays can only be grouped together for audio playback, you can not split the audio from a video steam. Setting up a Bluetooth connection between the Chromecast with Google TV is possible but I believe the aduio delay would be too much for it to be useful.

Thanks for the reply. Just what I thought,  no technical solution for this issue in pipeline I suppose?

I wished I knew, this forum is supported by other users and community specialist's so we don't know what Google has planned for the future, sorry.

Sharing feedback for the Google Nest team is the best way to request this as that information is passed straight to the engineering team.
