Nest Hub 2nd Gen will not connect to Bluetooth speakers

I cannot get my Nest Hub 2nd Gen to connect to my Vizio Soundbar via Bluetooth. I have tried all of these troubleshooting options and still have the same issue.

  • Trying a different Bluetooth speaker (does not connect to any Bluetooth speaker)
  • Connecting through the home app my phone (Pixel 6)
  • Connecting through the Nest Hub display
  • Restarting the nest hub
  • Factory resetting the nest hub
  • Google home mini successfully connects to the same soundbar
  • Pixel 6 successfully connects to the same soundbar

When pairing, it takes a while and says that it did not work and to try again. When you exit the pairing menu, it has the speaker listed as an option to play from, but cannot connect. The speaker never confirms that the Nest Hub is paired. I'm considering returning it if it cannot complete such basic functions.

Hi @toasti,

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with connecting your Vizio soundbar via Bluetooth to your Nest Hub 2nd gen. I’ll be more than glad to assist you.

Before we continue, I have some questions:

  • Have you checked if the Vizio soundbar has the Works With Google logo in the box?
  • What is the model of your Vizio soundbar?

I’ll be waiting for your reply.

Best regards,

Derick.
