Nest Hub Gen 2 Flashing Screen

Litboy

So I just went to tell my nest hub to set an alarm and realised it wasn't responding. At first I thought maybe the powerboard had lost power but everything else connected to it is working fine. I unplugged the power from the hub and when I plugged it back in, it started flashing a white screen every couple of seconds. It now won't do anything else. I've tried doing a factory reset but that only makes the screen a solid white and I still can't do anything. Nothing shows up on the screen. I've only had my hub for 1 month exactly and it was working fine before I left for work this morning. I'm so frustrated and dissapointed. If I don't find a fix by tomorrow afternoon I'll be getting a refund and I'll make sure to never purchase another google product again.

If you've already done a factory reset and that hasn't resolved it, you could try contacting Support (https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp) about a replacement.

Hey Litboy,

That certainly hasn't been easy for you — let me help you with that.

A few questions: did you unplug the device or was there a power outage shortly before you discovered the issue? Aside from the white screen, are you seeing any G logo when it's starting up?

Thanks for helping, MplsCustomer!

Looking forward to your response.

Best,
Alex
