Nest Hub (Gen 2) Sleep Sensing for day sleepers.

I have a a Nest display setup to track my sleep. Everything is setup correctly. The current issue is only that it can't seem to track when I'm sleeping in the day. I'm a shift worker so I'm not expected to sleep only at night. I have set my bedtime schedule accordingly but yet it only tracks sleep when it's at night. Is this a flawed feature that can only track a night sleep? Or am I doing something wrong here?

Hi Fizzidi,

I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you are experiencing with the Sleep sensing on Google Nest Hub 2nd gen. Let’s further look into it. Try doing these steps:

  • Open the Google Home app > Devices > Tap your display > Settings > Remove device > Remove.
  • Go to Devices > Scroll down to Other cast/Local devices > Tap your display > Add to a room. Follow the prompts in adding it back to a room.
  • Unplug its power cable from the outlet for a minute to initiate a reboot > Plug back in.
  • Deactivate and reactivate Sleep sensing > Recalibrate > Change bedtime schedule. You can follow the steps here.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Alex
