I have a Nest Audio and a Nest Hub Gen 2. When I say "Hey Google, Everyone's leaving" to my Nest Audio, it changes my home status to Away (like it should), same happens on my Nest Hub Gen 2. When I say Hey Google, Someone's home" on my Nest Audio it changes my home status to Home (like it should), but when I say it to my Nest Hub Gen 2 it just responds with "OK" and doesn't do any action. These two phrases are native and locked into the Home and Away automations. Why is it working on one device but not the other?
Nest Hub Gen 2 is running System Firmware 27.20250422.103.3600 and Cast firmware 3.77.487224

Hi @danpryan,
Thanks for reaching out to the community. I understand your Google Nest Hub 2nd gen isn't recognizing a native command to change your Home/Away status when you ask it, especially since it works correctly on your Google Nest Audio. I appreciate the detailed information shared. No worries, let's work together to get this resolved. To better assist you, I have a few questions for you:
Any additional details you can provide will be helpful.
Cheers,
Jonathan

Hi @sicsacol ,

Hi @danpryan,
Thanks for your reply.
Just to clarify, can you confirm if your Google Nest Hub is in the same home as your Google Nest Audio? Also, did your Google Nest Hub recognize this native command before?
Please let me know the answer to these questions.
Cheers,
Jonathan

@sicsacol Yes, the Google Nest Hub is in the same home, both physically and on the app, as the Google Nest Audio. No, the Google Nest Hub has never recognized this command out of the box, I just purchased it on 7/21. I've had the Nest Audio for about 6 months. Both are showing software is completely up-to-date though.

Hi @danpryan,
Thanks for your update.
Please check if Personal results are enabled in the settings of the Google Home app. Also, could you confirm if you see an entry for the routine running in the Activity tab? Since you've already reset your Google Nest Hub, I recommend performing a factory reset. After setting it up again, please test the routine to see if the issue persists.
Let me know how it goes.
Regards,
Jonathan
