Nest Hub Gen II won't play music while showing live camera feed

Can this  (brand new last week) thing walk and chew gum at the same time?

It is probably not unreasonable to expect that I can listen to a music / radio stream and display my front door camera at he same time.

My reading of previous posts suggests that this USED TO BE do-able until a recent firmware upgrade(?)

Pardon my sarcasm, but nothing substantive seems to be coming from google.
