Nest Hub Wi-Fi

I have tried to connect my Nest hub to several Wi-Fi networks when trying to set it up but it won’t let me. Is there any way to connect it to a mobile hotspot or another alternative option. Maybe bypassing the Wi-Fi at set up?

Hey there,

Thanks for the assistance, MikeClark!

Lillystar141, a few questions: was it connected before to a different network? Are you getting any message when connecting it to your Wi-Fi? Also, do you have a private home router? Give these steps a try:

  • Make sure your devices are within 15-20 feet of your router.
  • Reboot your router and devices to refresh your connection.
  • Toggle the Wi-Fi off/on in your phone settings.
  • Uninstall and reinstall your Google Home app.
  • Check router settings. (AP isolation must be disabled and UPnP must be enabled).
  • If you're using an iOS, turn on Local network access for the Google Home app. Here's how: Privacy > Local Network > Google Home app.

Hope the steps help!

Best,

Alex
