Nest Hub (second gen) not working

TrevorMoeller

So this morning I woke up and it wasn't connected to the WiFi so I unplugged it and waited and plugged it back in. It cycled for like half an hour before I got fed up and unplugged it for another 15 minutes. Then I plugged it back in and it just cycled for another 10 minutes. So I did a factory reset and now it just cycles to needing a factory reset. I did the unplug and replug 11 times as I saw on another post and it didn't help either. It's less than 2M from the wifi and I'm just getting frustrated now. It's currently sitting unplugged...

Hi Folks,

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I'm sorry that your Nest Hub 2nd Gen and Nest Mini keep disconnecting from the Wi-Fi. I understand how frustrating this can be. Let's work together for a solution.

Before I begin, I need to ask a few questions for further assistance:

What is the firmware version of your Nest Hub 2nd or Nest Mini?

Are you unable to find your Wi-Fi network when setting up your Nest Hub 2nd Gen or Nest Mini?

Do you see an error message on your screen?

If yes, what is the error message/text on the display?

Please keep posted. I'll look forward to your response.

Regards,

Byron

I've sent an email to the support team, but since you asked.

I have no idea what the firmware version is, all it does is cycle to the factory reset screen which means no I can't see it on setup and no error message either

Hi TrevorMoeller,

Thank you for your response.

  • Is the Wi-Fi network available and are other devices (phone, tablet, desktop, or laptop) able to connect to it and access the internet?
  • Is your Nest Hub 2nd Gen device within 15 to 20 feet of your Wi-Fi router?

Keep me posted. I'll look forward to your response.

Regards,

Byron
