Nest Mini doesn't work until third try

hello. i'm experiencing an issue with my nest mini. it was working awesome until a week or so. it keeps saying There was a problem try again in a few seconds, or sameness like that... i have to ask twice, even three times sometimes an order (command) and it  "awakens" and start working like nothing happen... if some minutes pass, same issue again.. two three times and it start working fine again... it's getting me so mad! also did every reboot posible and wifi work amazing with every device at home.

That sounds frustrating! Let's see what we can do to get it working smoothly again.

Here are a couple of things to try since you've already restarted the device and your Wi-Fi seems strong:

 

  • Verify if the Speaker or display’s microphones are not blocked: The microphone is under the fabric cover. Ensure there is nothing on top of the fabric cover.
  • Verify that the speaker or display is powered correctly: Check the LED status light at the back of the device. (No light - Device doesn't receive power/Solid or LED's blink Device receives power)                
  • Verify if the speaker or display is not muted
  • Unplug the power cord from the speaker or display and reconnect (reboot)
  • Verify if you have used the hot-word correctly and within range: please stay 3 to 5 feet from the speaker or display and remember to say the hot-word "Okay Google" or "Hey Google."
  • Check if LED's respond to long press (3 second tap)
  • Check for Software Updates: Outdated software can sometimes cause glitches. Open the Google Home app and make sure your Nest Mini has the latest update installed.
  • Verify Google Assistant Settings: Double-check that Google Assistant is properly set up on your Nest Mini. You can access settings through the Google Home app.
  • Interference Issues: While your Wi-Fi is working well, some devices can interfere with the Nest Mini's signal. Try moving the Nest Mini away from microwaves, baby monitors, or other wireless devices.
  • Factory Reset (Last Resort): If none of the above work, a factory reset might be necessary. This will erase all your settings and data on the Nest Mini. Make sure you know your Wi-Fi password before proceeding.

Hi vicente, I've all ready did all of that. The thing here is that de device works perfect!!!!!! but just within the third try of the comand. First two, sometimes three attempts of a command, just responds That something happened try again in a few seconds... and with one more try it look like it unlocks itsef and just works perfect.... until you try again sime command after some time of inactivity, it is the same issue...

I have another piece of advice for you, let’s take a look at this information and adjust the sensitive google assistant to “Hey google”

Google Assistant's activation through "Hey Google" or "Ok Google" commands might be hindered in noisy environments. To mitigate this, you can adjust the sensitivity settings within the Google Home application.

Hello. It is not the Hotword. The device reacts perfectly to the hotword. The thing is that it hears you, stay silent for a few seconds,  and responds something went wrong try in a couple of seconds, or smething like that... and at the third time you ask any command, like what time isit, wheather o turn on the lights, then it responds like nothing happened, it works fine. But if you let it innactive for a some minutes, agin this thing about something happen try again issue until the third try that it responds perfectly.
