Nest Mini error pairing Bluetooth speaker

• Error when pairing a Bluetooth speaker: “could not pair with this speaker”
• the speaker has no pin and connects fine to iPhone and laptop 
• I have paired 2 other speakers no problem
•  Can’t find any suggested solutions online.
