Nest Mini lost connection/configuration

Hi everyone, I'm from Spain and I live in Madrid.  I bought here a Nest Mini Generation 2 on 2023.

For last 3 months Nest Mini randomly begins playing: "Something's not right, if this happens again in a few minutes try troubleshooting in your Google Home App or unplugging your device and plugging it in again".

The only solution to fix this problem is reset my Nest Mini.  Maybe I have done this maybe 15-17 times.

Information about my Nest Mini:

  • Firmware version system:  420420
  • Cast firmware:  3.73.420420
  • Language:  es

This link below show a newest version (3.73.429109).  Maybe my Nest Mini can't update the firmware?

Automatic firmware upgrade is enable but firmware doesn't update.

I'm in Spain, so, I don't know what is the latest firmware to Spain.

Reading other post, I set up DNS on my router and I will check if this works (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4)

Hi @Ruydrigo,

Thank you for posting in the community and for providing the detailed information. I'm sorry to hear that your Nest Mini device is losing the connection multiple times. But don't worry; let's work on it.

Let's try some troubleshooting steps to try to force the update on your device:

  1. Ensure your Google Home app and mobile device are updated.
  2. Reboot your WiFi router and your speaker at the same time.
  3. Leave them unplugged for 2 minutes and then plug them back in.
  4. If you have a dual-band router, try to set up your speaker or display on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.

If these steps don't resolve the inconvenience, you can try performing a factory reset on the Nest Mini and setting it up again. Let me know how it goes.

Best regards,

Lusvin.
