Hi @Jacobxx1xx,

Hi @Jacobxx1xx,

First I would like to thank you for posting in our community page, on the other hand I apologize for the inconvenience that you are having with your Google Nest Mini. Let me tell you some troubleshooting steps that you can try to fix the problem.

Unfortunately, Google Nest Mini speakers cannot be set up or configured solely through Bluetooth. They require an initial connection to a Wi-Fi network for setup and updates.

Here's why Bluetooth alone won't work:

Setup and Updates: The Nest Mini uses Wi-Fi to download essential software and configure its features during the initial setup process. Bluetooth isn't involved in this crucial step.

Limited Functionality: Even after setup, Bluetooth on Nest Mini is primarily for casting audio from your phone or other compatible devices. It doesn't allow full control or configuration of the speaker itself.

Alternative Solutions:

Use a Temporary Wi-Fi Hotspot:

  • If you don't have a permanent Wi-Fi network readily available, you can use your phone's mobile hotspot feature to create a temporary Wi-Fi network. Connect the Nest Mini to this temporary hotspot during setup. Once setup is complete, you can then connect the Nest Mini to your main Wi-Fi network (if available).

Borrow a Wi-Fi Network:

  • If setting up a mobile hotspot isn't feasible, see if you can temporarily connect the Nest Mini to a friend's or neighbor's Wi-Fi network during setup. Once setup is complete, you can then reset the Nest Mini and connect it to your desired Wi-Fi network.

Regards,

Mario.
