Nest Mini wont Stream

When I ask my mini's to "stream SiriusXM Octane" it tells me that I "...need to link my account first,"  It is already linked!!  I double-checked on Google Home and it's linked.  I unlinked and relinked, nope.  I've rebooted each mini, nope.  It worked just fine in the morning but wouldn't play when I tried to restart it after lunch.

Hi raplencner,

This is not the experience we want you to have, let me help you. A few things: which Nest speakers are we working with? Was it working before? If so, when did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes?

It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router followed by your Nest speakers.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.

Once done, could you try other radio stations or music services if it works? Say, “Hey, Google! Play music!” and “Hey, Google! Play radio”. You can include the specific radio stations to compare it with your SiriusXM.

Tell me how it goes.

Best,

Dan

Dan.  Thee issue was on all of my units.  It wouldn't stream, wouldn't turn on lights aloe anything.   I rebooted my modem, and the minis and nothing worked.  I gave up.  Two days later everything was normal again.

Hi raplencner,

Chiming in, I'm happy to hear that rebooting your router and speakers has fixed the issue. It looks like you needed to reboot everything to refresh the connection between your devices.

It looks like we can consider this one complete, so I will lock the thread after 24 hours, unless I can help out with anything else.

Cheers,
Muddi
