Hello!
I set up a smart home at my house and I control my devices by voice using my android phone, and smart TVs. We live in Israel, but we are Russian speakers and all the smart devices at iur home are named in Russian and the rooms are too. All the commands in Russian are understood by my google assistant on my (and my wifes) phone and Samsung smart TVs (and tv streamers that I have).
Recetnly, I purchased 5 google nest mini decices to put in each room of my house so I won't have to always carry my phone with me to use voice commands and to let my kid using it too without using a tv. After a setup of the first unit, I learned that russian language is not supported on the nest. I read that google support only languages of countries where google products are being officially sold. I understand that. But, there are many russian speakers all over the world and it would be a deal breaker for most of them. For me it is. I want to control my device in my native tongue. So my question is, do I wait for future (near future) support or I will have to replace my google nest devices with an alternative?!

Hi @PavelRumberg,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience. I understand that you are unable to use your new Nest Mini devices in Russian, especially since you have a fully functional setup with Google Assistant on your phones and TVs. I can understand why this would be important for you and your family.
You are correct in your understanding that Google Nest Speakers and Displays currently support languages that are officially sold in specific countries. Russian is not yet one of the languages supported on our Nest Speakers and Displays. This is why you are experiencing a difference in functionality between your Nest Minis and your other devices that use Google Assistant.
While we do not have any information on future language support releases, we want to assure you that we are always working to expand the languages and features available on our products. The best way for our teams to understand the demand for new languages is through direct feedback from users like you.
I highly recommend that you submit your feedback directly to the product team using the Google Home app.
Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. Your feedback is valuable and helps us prioritize what to work on in the future.
Regards,
Kevin

Will my feedback in Home App > Google Account changes anything?

Same problem here. I live in Finland, but Russian is my native language. However, I cannot use Nest devices, or in the future HomePod, in Russian, because support for the language is simply restricted by the manufacturer’s decision. As a result, I have no real opportunity to fully switch to the Google ecosystem to control my smart home.
This discriminatory policy by Google pushed me to use Yandex’s assistant — Alice — at home. But I don’t want to use it, since Yandex willingly shares all collected data with Russian security services, yet I have no other choice. Google deprives me of the ability to use its services through a smart speaker in my native language ☹️
