Nest audio streaming delay

Hi all,

 

I have massive delay when streaming radio through my nest Audio. Currently streaming a local radio station with over am hour delay - over the weekend faced 30 mins or more.

Any ideas how to fix this?

I experienced this issue with the radio station 'ABC Radio National'. I was able to address this issue by specifying the state with the time zone that I am located in per advice from ABC.

It is possible that radio stations that alter their program according to different timezones may need similar instructions to work correctly.

Chiming in to check if you still experience the same thing? If yes, I'd like to know if you only experience this when playing radio? How about when using music from music provider like YouTube or Spotify.

Hi Princess,

 

The end of daylight savings seemed to have fixed the issue for now. The initial problem seems to be that the Nest speaker was streaming the radio via the stations broadcast in Queensland, which does not observe daylight savings time and thus is streamed at an hours delay (so that the national broadcast is heard at correct time in each state). 

 

We will see what happens come October and Daylight Savings begins again!
