Nest cam battery notifications on hub and speakers

Alerts and notifications of Nest cam battery does not appear on hub display or speakers.

Also cannot use 2 way talking from the display.

Kindly update whether it is possible

Glad you reached out.

 

A few things I'd like to ask -- Is this the first time that you have experienced this with your notifications? Also, are there any changes made on the settings prior to this? If no, you can check these settings for Alerts and notifications:

 

Make sure the mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as the Google Nest or Home device.

  1. Open the Google Home app .
  2. Tap Settings > Notifications > General notifications > Critical alerts On.

Lastly, updates are sent automatically on your device and is sent OTA (over-the-air) which means that as long as the device is plugged in and connected on a stable WiFi connection, it will automatically update itself.
