I have the 2nd generation nest hub but I have exactly the same problem and I can't find the solution... I have already created several image folders in google photos but nothing... I have already factory reset several times and still nothing. I think the problem comes from the latest update of Google home because the folder does not load in google home

Ok...here's a question., "How do we get out photos back up as album/ wallpaper? It was the nicest part of the Home display interface. Don't see the ability to dump the new update. This sucks. Shame on you guys.

hello😀
the display of photos on the screen works again for me
go to: google home/nesthub/settings/photoframe/photo selection and select "real-time albums only"
i had to do this manipulation 3 or 4 times for it to be properly supported and since then no more problems

i hope that it will work for you too,
