Strange icon being displayed on my hub max. It's been reported before without a picture. Note the progress indicator was spinning (bottom of screen)

Hey justinfreitag,

Thanks for sharing details about the issue here. I know how challenging it is not having a working device when needed. Let's dig deeper into this.

A few questions:

  • When did the issue start?
  • Is the screen stock on that display?
  • Is it still responding to commands?
  • Have you tried resetting your Nest Hub Max?

Please check the firmware version of your device:

  1. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. Tap Settings and then Device information.
  4. Under "Technical information," check for Cast firmware: "X.XXX.XXXXX." If the device is on Fuchsia, check for System firmware version: "X.XXXXXXXX.X.XXXXXXX"

Looking forward to your response.

Cheers,

Muddi

Hey dlf42day,

Just an added question: does it happen during idle mode, playing/casting music, or streaming a camera? How often?

Keep us posted.

Cheers,

Muddi

I just had that happen on my Max Hub. It went away as soon as I asked a question, but I would like to know what it is for too.
