Nest hub mini not displaying Google photos album

I have had this Google nest hub mini for almost a year now. I've recently moved and started a new household and it worked perfectly fine. But after a quick power failure it is not displaying my selected Google photos album or my fiance's. I have reset it 2x since the issue started and re selected the album I wanted yet still all I get is varying shades of grey. I've even selected the default setting for images chosen by Google to no end. Should I try to see if I can roll back the software and then update to the current software again or do I need to RMA the device due to damage from the quick power failure?

Hello Qcdsticks,

Thanks for bringing that up.

Given that you've already tried a series of steps including resetting, could you please provide your device's cast firmware version?

Check the firmware version of your speaker or display

To check which firmware version you're on, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  2. Tap your device's tile.
  3. Tap Settings and then Device information.
  4. Under "Technical information," check for Cast firmware: "X.XXX.XXXXX." If the device is on Fuchsia, check for System firmware version: "X.XXXXXXXX.X.XXXXXXX".

Check the version on your Nest display

  1.  Swipe up from the bottom of the display screen.
  2. Tap Settings and then About device. You should find your "Cast firmware version."
    • For Nest Hub (1st gen) and Nest Hub Max: If “Fuchsia Version” is also listed, this means your device runs Fuchsia.

We'd like to check further what's causing this to happen. Keep us posted by responding to this thread.

Best,

Princess
