One of my Nest mini speakers after working for years started responding with "Please get connected with the google home app" or something to that effect. When i checked google home, instead of being located in the room where it always was, it was in the devices connected to you category.
When I attempted to move it back to where it was supposed to be, I had to go through the setup procedure and it worked for about 10 min, then the same thing happened again. this time I factory reset it and did the setup as a new device with a new name. It worked for about an hour and then started with the get connected with the home app thing again.
Funny thing is that, the mini was still showing up in Google home app and was in the proper room. I could control it's volume from the app but any attempt to use voice control received this responce. Next day it was completely missing from the home app
Anybody see something like this before? Any suggestions?

Hi @GBD,
Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear that your Nest Mini 2nd generation is constantly losing the connection to your home. Don't worry; let's work together to solve the concern.
I would like to ask you some questions to gather a little more information:
In the meantime, let's try some troubleshooting steps and see if that works to solve the situation. Let's reboot your Wi-Fi router and your speaker, both devices at the same time. Leave them unplugged for 2 minutes, then plug the Wi-Fi router first and then the speaker. Take a look at this article to avoid wireless interference: Visit our help center to learn more about troubleshooting wireless interference.
Best regards,
Lusvin.

Thanks for your reply @lusvin. I already tried everything that you mentioned and I've factory data reset the speaker twice and it is still doing it.
So yesterday, The inbox in my google home said the I removed the device and I found it in the devices linked to you section instead of the den where it was supposed to be. I put it back into the den where it belongs and then this morning in my inbox there was a message saying that my wife removed it and it was again back in the devices linked to you section so I put it back in the den. Now 12 hours later I get a message in my inbox saying that my daughter removed it
Now I could understand my Google Home app/phone/account somehow causing a problem but not all the of us. When it said wife removed it, she was still sleeping and when it said my daughter removed, she wasn't even home.
Oh and by inbox, I'm referring to the one in the Google Home app.

Since this speaker is one of 7 around my house, was working fine prior to acting up, shows at various times as one or another of home members disconnecting it when they didn't and has had several factory resets, I just decided to send it to e-waist and get a replacement.
Replacement has been working ok for several days now so I assume that the original one either received an update it didn't like or was suffering from some sort of intermittent hardware problem.
You can go ahead and mark this as closed
