Nest mini alert if wifi is lost

Hi, 

I would like to be notifyed if my nest mini has lost internett connection or are shut down for some reason. I have selected the lost connection alert, ensured that both the nest app and google home app has alert permissions.

Why do I not get the alert?

Thanks for posting in the community. I'll be happy to help you regarding the lost WiFi notifications on your Nest Mini.

Nest Mini is not able to directly announce a lost wifi connection since it relies on the internet to send alerts. However, there are ways to be notified indirectly.
 

• App Notifications: Make sure both the Google Home and Nest app have notification permissions enabled on your phone. You can check this in your phone's settings under notification access.
   
• LED Status: The Nest Mini uses its lights to show connection. A solid orange light means it's disconnected. Look for any visual prompts on the device itself.
