Nest mini don't let play Certain songs on Spotify

When I tried to Chromecast to my speaker, it wouldn't let me play a certain song, and it turns everything in Spotify slow and laggy.

It only happens when Chromecasting. When I connect it through Bluetooth, it works fine.

original message:
I have the exact same issue. Some songs work, some don't.
The issue is both :
- from open.spotify.com on Desktop Chrome, trying to cast on my Google Nest (I do this everyday with no issues)

- from my iOS device on the Spotify app casting to the same Google Nest

Works well within the Spotify app itself if not "Casting".

It's not a "volume" issue, as one song will work and the next will have no sound while appearing to be playing as seen from the Spotify app. Coming back to the "working" song just works.

Tried unplug/replug on the Google Nest.

Tried to cast on a Bose soundbar with Google Cast capability: same behavior as on the Nest.

Bose soundbar's Google Cast version: 1.68.cast_20230721_0201_RC09.549871846
Nest's Google Cast version: 2.57.375114

Hi everyone,

I am sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Google speakers. This guide can help you troubleshoot common issues, including casting content to your speaker.

Here are some steps to get you started:

Make sure your devices are connected:

  • Ensure both your casting device (phone, tablet, etc.) and your Google speaker are on the same Wi-Fi network.

Check your Chromecast settings:

  • If you're having trouble casting, verify that Chromecast is enabled on your speaker in the Google Home app.
