Can I use a nest mini second generation which runs on 14 volt in a car using 12 volts and if so is there a lead with a 12 volt lighter socket on one end and a micro usb on the other I appreciate it would work with a inverter but just more wires be better if I can do it this way Thanks in advance

Good questions! We don't recommend connecting your Google Nest Mini to a car as it may not be able to supply the power needed for the speaker to work properly. It is best to plug in the speakers directly to the power outlet. Here's a helpful link for the device specifications.

It's ok guys I managed to get my hands on a Google home mini which is 5volt mini usb had to use 2 phones to set it up my main one for the hotspot and the other for Google home settings but all's well now I have Google assistant in my car which also doubles up for a hands free using my duo account
