My nest mini disconnected itself in the night and now won't connect to the WiFi. I have rebooted several times. Also I have completed deleted it from the app and still it won't reconnect!

I found the solution in the earlier forums. It works, a bit tedious, but not as aggravating as the answers you are getting from support. You need to reset your device and here is how to do it. It works, I just had to do it .

to factory reset your speaker using this workaround:

  1. Unplug the power cord from your speaker. Wait for 10 seconds. Plug it back in, and wait until all 4 lights on top illuminate.
  2. Repeat step 1, 10 more times.
  3. After you plug your speaker back in the final time, you'll need to wait a few moments for the device to reset. It will announce "Welcome to Google Home. To get started, download the Google Home app on a phone or tablet," to let you know that it’s ready for setup.

This solution could be tedious, but your patience is greatly appreciated.

See this thread: https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Speakers-and-Displays/Google-Nest-Mini-s-are-disconnecting-fr...

A full factory reset is achieved by holding the middle button until the device announces that it will do so. Powering on and off several times as suggested above is not an efficient method of achieving this result, nor is it a solution. The issue is/was caused by a bug in the firmware that is/should be resolved by now. If it isn't, throw the device at a wall and purchase a superior product from a competitor.

Hey Breglof,

Sorry to hear that you're having issues connecting your Nest Mini to your network. I appreciate @Caroljc58 and @Andrew-G for helping here.

In order for us to eliminate any network issues and also be able to check the firmware version of your devices, could you try setting up your device using a mobile hotspot. Please note you will need two mobile devices for this setup (one will serve as a router and the other used to set up your Nest Mini).

Let us know how it goes.

Cheers,

Muddi
