I have an automation set up ("good morning") that includes the Nest playing a specific radio station. I have had this set up for several years with no problems, and then suddenly last week, the speaker started playing a different radio station. If I correct it by telling it to switch to the radio station I initially set up, no problem--it understands and switch. I have tried everything. I deleted the automation in the Google Home app and set it up again. I unplugged the speaker and plugged it back in. I even signed out of Google altogether and signed back in. None of that helps--it just keeps playing the wrong radio station! Any tips appreciated!

Hi AMoskowitz,
Thank you for reaching out to our community.
I'm sorry to learn that last week your Google Nest device's "good morning" automation, which plays a particular radio station, started playing a different one. Thank you for sharing the troubleshooting steps you have tried. I realize that you have already deleted the automation on the Google Home app and reinstalled it, unplugged the speaker and replugged it in, signed out of the Google Home app completely and signed back in, and corrected it by instructing it to switch to the radio station you initially set up. However, the inconvenience persists. This information allows me to better understand your situation and proceed with alternatives to resolve the inconvenience.
Before we get started with further troubleshooting, let me ask you some important questions:
Is the Google Home app up to date?
Are you using a specific app to listen to the radio station included in your automation (good morning)?
Have you verified if there has been an update on the radio station set up on your automation?
Are you using a personal or household routine?
Is your radio station a premium service, or is it a local radio station?
Have there been any recent changes to your home environment, changes in the Wi-Fi network, or recent outages?
Thanks for your kind attention; I will be looking forward to your answer.
Best regards,
Virna

Virna, yes the Google Home app is up to date. I should clarify one thing: if I activate the “good morning” automation from the app, the speaker plays the correct radio station. But if I say “good morning” to the speaker, it plays the first part of the automation correctly (weather) but then plays the wrong radio station.
The station I have set to play is a local FM station, and the speaker accesses it through Audacy.
This is a personal routine I set up through the app. There have been no other changes to our network and no outages.
Hope this helps!

Hi AMoskowitz,
Thank you for your kind response and providing me this important detail: when you activate the “good morning” automation from the app, the speaker plays the correct radio station. But if I say “good morning” to the speaker, it plays the first part of the automation correctly (weather) but then plays the wrong radio station. It helps me to provide you with better assistance.
Based on this information, I recommend you try with the following troubleshooting steps:
Reboot the Google Nest Mini from the Google Home app.
If the inconvenience persists, we can try another way to reboot the Google Nest Mini. Follow the next steps:
Unplug Google Nest or Google Home.
If the issue persists, it will be necessary to perform the factory reset and set up your Google Nest Mini device. Please use the instructions provided in these articles: Factory reset Google Nest or Home speakers or displays and Set up your Google Nest or Home speaker or display.
Please let me know how it goes.
Best regards,
Virna
