Same here, I keep trying to get the volume down but when I slide the volume slider down it stays down for about 2 seconds then jumps back to full volume. As another thread stated that its linked to the system volume (on the phone?) I turned that off completely but still get the same jump back to full volume on the home app. Android 12 one UI 4

I noticed this happening to me recently as well.  I tried toggling the setting on and off, changing the times, but it didn't help. At least now I know it's not just me.

This also started happening with my Lenovo Smart Clock as well. At first I thought it was because I had to reset it after google assistant stopped working. Assistant was fixed but then noticed night mode would reset each day seemingly some time around mid afternoon. Maybe a new update was pushed through which broke it as there are many of us affected. Hopefully the next update can fix this.

Exactly the same experience here, it worked just fine when I bought the Smart Clock around a year ago but then suddenly in a moment in time the night mode dindn't work properly anymore. Let's indeed hope there comes a update that fixes the issue.

I'm thinking of dumping the Google nest hardware, if they can't do something which amazon activated with an alexa years ago then bye bye Google

I'm getting this with a Lenovo Smart Display as well. My Nest Mini can keep the Night Mode settings no problem, so I suspect it may be a Lenovo problem

We hope you were able to get the help you need but if you're still having trouble, you may try rebooting your Nest Mini or Lenovo Smart Display. Resetting it might also help.

If the issue persists, feel free to submit another post and provide as many details as possible so that others can lend a hand. Hope this helps!
