Not able to factory reset nest mini

Hello,

I'm having trouble with my google nest mini. I received it during the Spotify free nest mini promotion back in 2020. I used it immediately after received it but put it away for the last few years. I’ve been wanting to set it up again but when I plug the device in it says unable to connect and I should factory reset the device. I have tried the 10x 10sec off then wait for the 4 lights. Didn’t seem to reset it. Also tried the microphone off and hold the top button. Also didn't seem to reset it. 

Does anyone have any other ideas to reset the device?

I'm sorry to hear that your Google Nest Mini, which you received through the Spotify promotion back in 2020, won't connect after being stored for a few years and is prompting for a factory reset. I appreciate your efforts in taking those steps before. I'm happy to help you!

To help me find the best solution, I'll need to ask you a few questions:

  • Is the Google Home app updated?
  • Are you using an Android or iOS device?
  • Does your Google Nest Mini display any LED lights? If so, what color is it?
  • When you perform a factory reset, do you see any LED lights or hear any sounds?
