Hello team,

Ran into issue.

Steps:

  1. Plan to use airpod/airpodPro with nest hub
  2. Open google home on iphone
  3. Click on "Devices"
  4. Select "hub"
  5. Click on settings
  6. Click on "Audio"
  7. Click on "Paired Bluetooth Devices"
  8. Click on "Enable Pairing Mode".
  9. **Push button on airpod for pairing
  10. Observation : Not seeing bluetooth listed or connecting as a bluetooth device.

Expected : Should be able to pair and list airpod. Once that is then done then I can change "Default music speaker". from to "Airpod" instead of hub.

Hi khalidmsf,

Thanks for visiting the Community.

I appreciate all the steps you've tried. Let's make sure we won't miss some of the steps here:

Complete these steps if it’s the first time you’re connecting your speaker to your Google Nest or Home device.

  1. Turn on your Bluetooth speaker and make sure it’s in pairing mode. Press the pairing button on your Bluetooth speaker, if possible.
  2. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  3. Make sure you're in the right home. The name of the home is at the top of the screen. To change homes, tap the arrow next to the home name.
  4. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  5. At the top right, tap Settings and then Audio.
    • If this is your first time to use Bluetooth on this device, tap Paired Bluetooth devices and then Enable pairing mode and then go back to Audio.
  6. Tap Default music speaker and then Pair Bluetooth speaker. Your Google Nest or Home device will then scan for Bluetooth devices.
  7. Tap the Bluetooth device once it appears on the screen and then Done.
  8. Your Bluetooth device will now pair with your Google Nest or Home device.

Tips to pair and connect devices

  • You can only have one connected Bluetooth speaker or headphones to play music through at a time.
  • Once you pair and connect your Bluetooth speaker to a Google Nest or Home device, it will auto-connect unless the speaker gets disconnected or turned off.
  • You can pair a Google Nest or Home device to multiple Bluetooth enabled speakers or headphones, but it will only connect to the most recently connected device.
  • Check which mobile devices are connected to your Google Nest or Home device.

Hope this helps.
