Older Google Home

I was given my parent’s Google Home device and tried connecting it to multiple power sources at my house. When I do so, an orange light flickers on then off above the G on the back of the device (and below the speaker button). This leads me to believe it is getting some source of power. I have another Google Home purchased around the same time at my house that functions fine. I have used the power cord to this device on the problematic one and have the same outcome of orange light and no apparent power going to the device. Wondering if there is something I am missing with my troubleshooting?

Hi Lminer91,

Thanks for posting—let's get this sorted out. A pulsing orange light on the back of Google Home can be due to the device doing a factory reset or a hardware error. Try to keep it unplugged for 24 hours, then plug it back in and do a manual factory reset.

Regards,
Alex
