Phone starts playing music that is supposed to be playing on Nest Speaker

My phone will randomly start playing the Spotify music that is playing on one of my Nest speakers.  When it starts playing on my phone is disconnects from my speaker.  I won't even be in my house and my phone will start playing the music that my son was playing on his Nest speaker at home.  This happens alot when I put my ear buds in.  I'll put my buds in to listen to Audible, and all of a sudden the music my son was playing at home starts playing on my speaker.   It's quite annoying, especially for my son because the music from his Nest speaker will stop playing out of the blue.  How do I fix this???

Hi @Mikaleens,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community. I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Nest Speaker, I’ll be more than glad to help you to fix this issue.

Before we start i have some questions:

  1. The speakers you have are in the same Home structure
  2. Are  you using the same Spotify account that your son uses?
  3. Does it happen using another music app?

I’ll be waiting for your reply.

Regards,

Derick.

The speakers are not on the same home.structure.  We use the same spotify account.  I do not have another music app synced to.my Google account.

Hey there!

Thank you for your reply. It seems that there is a conflict in the account because you are using the same music service as your son. Just to discard that possibility, could you try using a different music service?

Let me know how it goes.

Best regards,

Derick.
